With the reading pane off, and a screen saver (with password required) which comes on after 15 minutes, Outlook 2010 inbox does not display new emails after logging back into the machine. If you click on another folder and then back to the inbox, all new email will instantly show up. Mail notifications continue to work, though, so synchronizing is working. As long as the screen saver does not come on, everything works as it should. Plus, if the reading pane is turned on, and screen saver active, the inbox shows all new mail as soon as you log back in. We don't shut anything off with power settings, so it's not a matter of the system being in standby or hibernation. Also, we work in cached mode with Exchange 2010.
If this is "by design", that's fine, but I can't find any reference to this behavior anywhere. So, if anyone knows if this is "by design", or if there is a setting I can change, I'd appreciate the info.
Thanks.
