I use AT&T U-verse for email. I have Microsoft Outlook 2007. I've had U-verse for a few months now and have established my U-verse account on Outlook with no problems until today. Now Outlook won't recognize the POP3 and SMTP server on U-Verse.
When established, servers were:
POP3: pop.att.yahoo.com
SMTP: smtp.att.yahoo.com
Today I learned they are:
POP3: inbound.att.net
SMTP: outbound.att.net
AT&T has support pages to assist user setting up Outlook so they can view their AT&T email. I've done this, had 2 chat sessions with AT&T (including one that was remote desktop access). After both, the situation worked only to fail again.
AT&T's solution to me after all this: Call Microsoft.
Is there something I'm missing? Incidentally was accessing the email from my smartphone and tablet and both have dropped AT&T email as well.
