I am currently testing business contact manager 2010 and it installed on my server on the sql 2008 express r2 server as another new instance. I have read that the database size limitation for bcm is 4 gig which was consistant with the 2008 express
sql server. However in R2 the sql limitation is up to 10gig. Is outlook enforcing the size limitation or is sql managing that. I ask because I am no longer going to need to use offline copies of the database, I am going to have all my users connecting
online to the server so if I can allow the database size to expand or if I decided to install the full version of sql later could I allow the database to run in that version so I don't have to maintain multiple sql servers on the same box. I realize
performance may suffer with the larger size database and I don't think I will reach 10 gig but I would like to know if outlook is going to stop me at 4.
