We have a client that is getting the following message when trying to follow a hyperlink in an Email:
"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer."
We use Outlook 2010 on PC's running Windows 7 Enterprise. Both are 32-bit versions.
Initial search turned up article 310049. It is exactly what we are experiencing. Unfortunately, the Fix It does not recognize Outlook 2010 so we cannot use it. The IE 8 fix did not help. My PC does not have any problems with the link, so I did a registry export following the provided instructions. The import of the key also failed to help on the affected PC.
The question is, what now? I'd rather not re-image a PC for something that may recur. Or is there an update to Fix It 50388 that recognized Outlook 2010? Any ideas would be helpful.
Thank you for your time and efforts,
