Our company does NOT run exchange server. We use AltN technologies Mdaemon email server.
Our users accounts are pop3 and imapi.
When some of our mobile users are out of the office they manage to get their outlook 2010 screwed up to the point it will no longer open.
I have traced this to the fact that when outlook opens it attempts to connect to the email server and the prompt to work in offline mode either is hidden from view or is ignored by the user.
I want to force Outlook to prompt the User before it attempts to connect to the server so they may work in offline mode and not be frustrated waiting for the program to fail to connect to the server.
The usual configuration using Exchange will not work as it is not an Exchange server.
So is it possible to force it to start in Offline mode?
