I have a weird issue at a customer. Users can use Outlook 2010 (with Exchange 2010) without issues when they are connected to the LAN or through DirectAccess. They do not use Outlook Anywhere, only straight RPC with Exchange Cache enabled.
But... sometimes a user has several message in his/her outbox that cannot be send while they are connected through DirectAccess. Outlook is connected with Exchange, and it says "Sending message 1 to 12" (or something like that). Whatever you do, restart Outlook, re-logon or restart the computer, nothing works. The message can't be opened, Outlook says they are being send. Once you connect the computer to the LAN instead of DirectAccess they are send immediately.
I know there are dozens of posts about this issue. But this one only occurs when you are connected through DirectAccess.
Any suggestions? Could it be that Outlook uses the winhttp for Offline Address Book (OAB) and such?
