Outlook 2003 Exchange client running on a laptop with OST file results in missing messages.

Client has Outlook 2003 running on office workstation as well as laptop remotely. When the client uses the laptop to send or receive messages they are received and are sent "however" a few minutes thereafter or an hour and they are missing from Sent Items or Inbox. Not accidently deleted nor in the Recover Deleted Items window, disabled auto archiving, no filters, no rules, no Add-Ins. Microsoft Exchange Team concluded Exchange 2003 SP 2 is running just fine, ruled out any Exchange Server 2003 issue. Clients mailbox about 500MB total. This client is the only person experiencing this issue, none of the other 20 users have any issue. My question is, does anyone have a clue, could it be that I have a corrupt OST file on the laptop since any action on the laptop is going to sync to the mailbox implying the desktop will yield the same result a goose egg when trying to locate. The issue is 1 or 2 message now and then are there and then they are gone. I have confirmed screen shots and indeed client has a valid acknowledgement of it being sent only not to be found and yes Sent Items are defaulting to the appropriate Sent container. If anyone has a suggestion I would welcome it, my thoughts were delete the Outook account, start with a clean newly created OST and recreate the account. Thank you in advance, to recap Microsoft has ruled out Exchange Server given the audit and Best Practice reports that analyzed overall configuration and performance, no issues wih Exchange. Thank you sincerely, any help would be appreciated.
