I've been using a Windows Live mail account for 5 years. The account is associated with work and I've recently changed jobs, and I want to stop using the account, close it, but keep my archived messages in Outlook.
I have Outlook on my computer and I was able to import my mail from the online account, no problem. However, any changes I make in my online client (like deleting messages) are instantly reflected in Outlook.
I wanted to import all my old mail into Outlook to archive it, and then delete everything in my online account. But if I do that with my current settings, everything in Outlook gets erased too. How can I stop Outlook from syncing up with my online account,
so my mail doesn't disappear on me?
