Hello All,
Recently I installed the Outlook 2010 Administrative GPO to manage the Junk e-mail settings for our clients. Initially we forced the protection level to Low, disabled automatic deletion of messages, etc. All is working great and as expected until recently when we decided to loosen the protection level and let users choose their own level minus whether messages are permanently deleted, disabling hyperlinks, etc...What we are now seeing though is that if a user opts for No filtering the setting reverts back to "low" after the user re-launches Outlook - that is with the Protection Level set to "Not Configured" or "Disabled" in the GPO. Is this known behavior - is there a fix for it?
I've seen similiar thread posts but none with this exact problem - I did see an Outlook 2003 hotfix which addressed a similiar issue in that version but nothing for 2010.
This only occurs in an OU that has the Outlook GPO applied. If i move the user to another OU that does not have the Outlook GPO applied the setting will not revert. Thanks!
