I have an email and it is stuck in the Outbox.
It has been there for a few weeks and other emails that go into the Outbox send and receive fine.
This email when I go to open or perform any action on it comes up with "Cannot open this item. Outlook has already begun transmitting this message". Now the main points:
1. It is just a message, there is no large attachment that is providing to be a problem.
2. It cannot be copied to a draft folder or any other similar suggestion as it refuses to do anything.
3. I have done the work offline suggestion, disconnected from the internet, gone to tool and clicked 'do not send receive on/off line' and shut down/started and it still is saying it is trasmitting (whatever it is has got this into a stuck state and no matter what action you perform it remains in a state of 'being transmitted' and will not allow ANY action upon it.
4. I have disabled plug-ins relating to email anti-virus.
5. I have searched for the outbox and tried to delete content.
6. I have downloaded the software to search and purge the outbox and that was ineffective.
I am at a loss. I did have a go at the PST suggestion but it didn't seem to work, but then the steps I followed from others who posted didn't appear the same when I tried, so not sure if I missed anything.
Is there anything else to try? It is very annoying...
