Outlook 2007 crashes instantly when opening shared calendar after exchange account change

Hi everyone,

I recently deployed a new Office 365 install to update from our old POP3 setup.  All was working well, until..

One of the personal assistants needed their email address changed from a generic one to their actual name (info@ourdomain.com.au to vivan@ourdomain.com.au) at the bosses insistence.  This PA had shared calendars of both bosses calendars with Editor permission as she makes appointments on their behalf, and these have been working fine for the last few weeks since implementation.

This took quite a while to work out the account change in Office 365, eventually I had to delete the old info@ourdomain.com.au account from O365, then flush it out of the O365 recycle bin via PowerShell commands.  Then created a new vivian@ourdomain.com.au account and recreated info@ and accounts@ as Security Distribution groups and again via PowerShell gave her send as permission. All good so far and she can send as the other accounts no problem.

On her Outlook 2007 desktop client I exported a copy of her old emails (only inbox and sent items) from the old info@ exchange account, deleted the old info@ exchange account from her Outlook 2007 and then created the new vivian@ exchange account. Imported her email items back in and allowed it all to sync.  Everything looked good and seemed to be working including the send as accounts.

Went to open the calendars as I realised I would have to reshare the bosses calendars to her and her Outlook crashed. Again and again I tried, no go and never any error messages. All it does is half change to a calendar view (email preview section goes white) and the title bar indicates (Not Responding).

Tried starting Outlook in Safe mode - still crashes as soon as I click on the calendars (but still with no error messages).  Also tried /cleanviews and /resettodobar, no change.

I then deleted the new vivian@ourdomain.com.au exchange account from her Outlook and now when I opened Outlook I was able to view the calendars that had been shared with her old info@ account, so I then deleted the two Bosses shared calendars.

Then I reconfigured her Outlook with the new vivan@ exchange account again and was still able to click on calendars and view her calendar plus an old one in personal folders (from our old POP3 accounts), all looking good.  Went to the bosses computers and shared their calendars again, the share invite email came in and when I click on the Open This Calendar button at the top of the email, it starts to open the new Outlook window in calendar view but stops at a mostly blank window and all freezes again.

Now clicking on the Calendar button in Outlook is also freezing Outlook again.

Obviously something in the changing of account with the shared calendars still attached has created some issue, just not sure what or how to fix it!  She is currently running with Outlook Web Access so that she can at least work with the calendars, but I would like to get Outlook working properly again!

Cheers, Dave.

EDIT: I should add, the computer is running Windows XP with Office 2007 with all current Microsoft updates applied.
