Strange issue here. We are using Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2003. When we insert a hyperlink to a file on a network share a mapped drive is created on the computer.
For example:
insert a hyperlink to \\server1\share1\folder1\file1 in an email message, when opening my computer a new randow mapped drive appears as share1 on 'server1' (X:)
For some people this happens only once, for others it happens everytime thereby using up all drive letters. The servers are all Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 and fully patched, the computers are all Windows XP SP3 and fully patched, Outlook 2007 SP2 part of Office Suite, Exchange 2003 SP2.
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated since I have searched the internet and found nothing. Thanks.
