i have no problem on my computer (windows 7) with the new 2010 office with maintaining the last file saved in feature but another co-worker who has the same type of machine reverts back to the main directory.

very frustrating. 

 has anyone figured out what and where the setting is. 

 having to reopen the directories is a serious waste of time - we are a law firm and get lots of emails and save them to a network directory.  as i said, it opens my last folder saved to but will not for her.  thanks.
