In August of last year we made some changes to our group policy in order to update the Safe Senders list across our domain.
This worked successfully and, following a decent testing period, we rolled it out world-wide. For those who need that guide ( and to prove I've searched the forums before posting my question ) it can be found here.
However, it came to my attention today that this does not work with Windows 8 machines at all.
I have confirmed that all of the Windows 8 machines have access to the location of the text file. I have also confirmed that the registry entries are being populated and that the location published by the group policy is correct.
What I have noticed is that the registry node where the JunkMailSafeSenders file and JunkMailImportLists entries are is otherwise empty. On a Windows 7 machine there's a good deal more there.
This leads me to believe that the problem here is that the registry entry for Windows 8 needs to be in a different location. If anyone could assist with this it would be great as we have a critical system being junked by Outlook because it contains a number of lists.
