I am running windows 7 home premium sp1. I redirected my library folders from the boot drive to another local drive. I was not aware that Outlook stores the Outlook.pst file in the documents folder. The redirection appeared to confuse Outlook for a while but it recovered after a reboot, but the redirection disrupted the email rules and I had to delete and reenter them. The rules appear to be working ok now. However, when I delete an email message it returns to the inbox after a few minutes. I have 2 IMAP gmail accounts and deleted messages return to the inbox in both accounts after i delete them. It does not matter how many times I delete the messages and empty the Deleted Items and Trash folders they still return to the respective Inboxes. I also have a MAPI hotmail account but deleted messsages do not return to the hotmail inbox. The problem started immediately after I redirected the library folders.
Can anyone help me solve this problem?
