We have a computer running Windows XP home addition.
We are running Microsoft Office 2010 on this machine.
OUTLOOK is working fine for incoming emails.
However the ports for outgoing emails seem to be blocked.
I can ping the server but not when the port is selected.
We are trying to use either port 25 or 587, both give the same result.
We checked with Verizon who assure us the ports are open on business class FIOS.
The router apparently is not blocking the ports.
We tested all the outlook settings in a different network and they all work perfectly going back to the same mail server. The outlook versions are the same on both networks. So the only difference seems to be that this computer is being blocked on the outgoing ports.
The computer has Microsoft Security Essentials on it running. I do not see a firewall on the machine.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
