We have a 2008 R2 Terminal Server running Office 2010 32bit SP1.
The Desktop Alert popup and sound do not appear when running in RemoteApp mode, however they do show up when logging on to the exact same profile in a Remote Desktop Terminal Services session, so obviously the sound service is running and the application
settings are correct. Only the new mail envelope icon shows up in the taskbar. This happens when the client is either Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7 SP1.
I have seen this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverTS/thread/8f1d3c2a-d5d8-430b-8bc8-386f3e83715d but the fixes have already been applied and it is still not working.
Is this a bug?
