We have recently setup a new cloud server, Windows 2008 Server R2 (64-bit) which is fully patched and updated. We install Office 2010 Professional Plus SP1(32-bit) and the attachment previewer for all office products does not work. We able to preview PDF's,
JPEG's and other attachments, but when we try and preview an office attachment, such as word or excel, then it displays the message
"the file cannot be previewed because there is no previewers installed for it"
We have tried the following steps, all to no avail
- disabling all add-in
- disabling protected view
- checking the dcom settings as some people have mentioned, but they were correct
- repairing office
- removing and reinstalling office
- I did enable the developed tab and create a macro for all users to have a shortcut on their toolbar to open up some email templates, but removing and disabling this has not reosolved the problem!
We have also gone down the line of checking registry settings, but are unable to come up with a solution. I could try a different version of office, as I have setup about 20 of these cloud servers and never had this issue. Any more idea's?
