Our archive system saves emails in SharePoint as subject.eml files. When libraries are connected to Outlook almost all our users can click on eml files and preview them in Outlook. However, some have problems and get the message "this file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it".
I've tried
- Fixing registry manually
- Right clicking eml filetypes and select always open with outlook
But to no success.
I think resetting the user profile will fix the problem, but we won't do that for all those with problems.
I fear a 3rd party application might have messed up this for our users, but when uninstalling this 3rd party app, there is no change. I would like to get this repaired.
