Ok, so this is the first time i am posting a question. I will do my best to include as much information as i can because i am really at my wits end with this one. Here is my issue.....
A client my company supports recently changed their lending house, and with that came an email change over. Naturally we were the last ones to know about this. Almost every machine there is running Windows XP, and Outlook 2007. All of the XP machines running Outlook 07 are working just fine. (This is a domain environment). There are two workstations running Win 7 Pro and Outlook 2010. It is these two that have been the bane of my existence for a week now. Outlook will load, but when opening some emails it will freeze up to the point of needing a reboot to even get it to open again properly. I have expended all options i know of and am hoping someone can help me out with this. The following is some info regarding the types of accounts and what i have done to troubleshoot:
They are POP mail accounts, and the server settings have been verified with the email provider (several times)
Outlook 2010 has been uninstalled and reinstalled
Even a new domain profile will yield the same results with Outlook locking up when opening some emails
All Add ins have been disabled
Outlook will even lock up while opening emails in Safe Mode
I have scanned the .pst files with scanpst.exeI went as far as to check the attributes of the domain profile associated with the broken email with one that is known to work fine
This is specific to only Outlook 2010 and the domain workstations running Win 7 Pro
I deleted one of the emails that locked up Outlook in the webmail interface
Any one with any other suggestions please feel free to let me know. The next step we might take is to reload the workstations. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration rading this lenghty post!
