I've just upgraded to Outlook 2010 from 2003. I have in the left hand column Personal Folders, Archive Folders then IMAP Folders. [In the IMAP section there is all my saved emails which are in folders to easily find them.]
In the IMAP sent emails list, when I look at the emails listed which i've sent they all look like they are to me. EG it has my name Claire Rodgers then underneath the email subject.
In 2003, it would have the persons name I sent the email to not mine and I don't know what I've done wrong for this to happen
If I look at the sent emails in Personal Folders, I can see the persons name I sent the email to like I used to be able to but there are hardly any emails I've sent in this folder.....they all seem to be in the IMAP sent folder
Personal Folders - sent is Arrange by Date and is set out like I want showing the person who the email is sent to which also happens to be in date order with newest at the top.
IMAP Folder - sent is at the moment set to Arrange by Date showing my name all over the place. When I change it to 'To' it then groups all the emails I have sent to a person but not in date order.
Interestingly, on Friday my internet connection was crap all day and I kept getting a DNS server problem. I noticed that Outlook kept going offline and in between connections on/off I sent a few emails which are in the Personal Folders sent list although there
are other emails in there that I have sent when I had a good connection.
This is what I have listed in the left hand pane
