We have a mailbox on an Exchange 2010 SP1 server, several users have access to this folder by giving them full mailbox access on the Exchange server. We added this in Outlook 2007 through the Advanced tab so there able to access it.
When they rename a folder in the shared mailbox it reverts back to it's old name after a while or when they close and reopen Outlook. We can prevent this from happening by disabling the option download shared folders (excluded mail folders) download shared folders (excluded mail folders) under Tools, Account settings, Change, More settings, Advanced. But with this option disabled the folders aren't available offline.
We could create a second Outlook profile for this mailbox, but this isn't
convenient because the users have to switch between profiles.
Is there any other way to change the folder names without disabling this option or creating a second Outlook profile?
