Gday all,
We use a Windows Small Business Server 2003 domain with Exchange 2003 and Windows XP Pro SP3.
A user reported he couldn't send/receive email and I found his Outlook 2003 stuck in Offline mode. (The Web interface however works fine and he can use that when needed.)
Meanwhile I couldn't get the Outlook 2003 out of Offline mode.
Un-checking "Work Offline" did not help.
I tried turning cached mode off and on - no change.
I tried scanpst on his pst and ost files - errors repaired but no change to the problem.
I tried upgrading from Office 2003 to Office 2007 and the fault persisted - still stuck offline.
I tried deleting the account, and found I had to re-create the account from Control Panel / Mail - but attempting to do so now fails because it cannot find the server to validate his name.
Internet works, ping to server works, web interface mail works, but now I have an Outlook 2007 which has all his mails, but NO account setup, cannot add an account, and a message still stuck in Outbox.
Something is stuck between Outlook and the server - can someone help with that please ?
(I read other messages, but didn't see anything obvious.)
