I have a client where BCM keeps disappearing from Outlook on their computers. Some of the time we can just go to the File tab, click on the CRM link and then click the large enable button, another one was fixed by removing and recreating his Outlook profile (apparently the profile was corrupted). But on another one, I've tried those things and BCM simply doesn't show up in Outlook. The data file is there when you select that tab in the account settings, but on the Outlook File tab, there is no BCM link to click on.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling BCM as well as removing and recreating the Outlook profile, but no BCM. Now I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2010 as well as BCM. That didn't help. The BCM folder list didn't even show in the list of folders on the Home tab in Outlook. I did find a posting that in that case the BCM data file needs to be added to the Outlook profile. I checked and sure enough, only his Exchange data file was listed. So I added the BCM data file, closed and reopened Outlook. BCM now shows in the list of folders on the Home tab but on the File tab, no BCM link.
Except for the corrupt profile, this is frustrating as the other 2 users have had BCM disappear from Outlook mulitple times. This gets them frustrated which I don't blame them for but I'd like to get this fixed permanently so BCM is always there in Outlook.
I'm out of ideas on this. Anyone have any thought as to why BCM does not show in Outlook, except for the folders which are added simply by adding the BCM data file to the list of data files in the Outlook profile???
